NCAA Football 13 (EA)If you're sick of playing college football games made solely by EA, you're in luck.

According to a proposed settlement filed by attorneys representing consumers in a class-action anti-trust lawsuit, EA has agreed to give up their stranglehold on the NCAA and AFL (Arena Football League) licenses for five years and will further dole out $27 million for overcharging customers.

First filed back in 2008, the lawsuit essentially claims that EA formed an unfair monopoly by locking in exclusive licenses just as the market was creating lower prices for consumers.

Variety is reporting that the next Batman game from Warner Bros.  and developer Rocksteady Studios will zip back in time and act as a prequel to the terrific Arkham games. Based on the Silver Age of DC Comics (a period spanning the 1950s through the 1970s), the game will explore Batman's first meeting with The Joker and is due out in 2014.

A French game collector just netted a cool one million Euros (or about $1.23 million) on eBay for what appears to be the most epic game collection ever.

Seriously, it's a doozie. The collection includes full sets for 22 game consoles, or roughly 7,000 games. We're talking every single game for every Sega console, every game released for Nintendo systems spanning the Famicom to the Gamecube, and even every single game ever released for the lesser-known NEC systems.

Michael Fassbender (Credit: Getty Images)Best known to geeks as Magneto from the acclaimed "X-Men: First Class," Michael Fassbender has become something of a Hollywood heavyweight.  His next trick, however, will put him squarely on the video game map.

Variety reports that Fassbender is signed on to co-produce and play the starring role in an upcoming film based on Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed franchise. The movie will be made through his own small studio, DMC Film.

The perfect companion to a boring cross-country flight, Sudoku puzzles are now as ubiquitous as crosswords. If you love logic, you probably love a good Sudoku.

If you love sanity, however, you probably won't love Arto Inkala, the Finnish creator of what's being called the hardest Sudoku puzzle in the world.

It works just like any other Sudoku puzzle: fill the 9x9 grid with numbers so that each column, each row, and each of the nine smaller 3x3 squares contain all of the digits 1 through 9. But solving this particular brain-melter is significantly tougher than the cakewalk you'll find in an in-flight magazine.

One such beloved game is the Sega Saturn great NiGHTS into Dreams, which will be coming to Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PCs this fall in a full HD re-release, the company announced today.
