100 year-old stays sharp with Nintendo DS

Nintendo might be thought of as a kid-friendly company, but they've proven over the years to be pretty good with the older crowd, too.

Much, much older.

Take the amazing case of gamer Kathleen "Kit" Connell, who credits her time spent with the Nintendo DS as the key to her mental acuity despite being 100 years old.

"I don't feel a day over 80," she says in a flat-out awesome video from British news agency SWNS. "I try to keep my brain active by playing on my Nintendo."

According to UK paper The Sun, Kit's daughter Pam bought her the system four years ago for her 96th birthday and agrees that it's helped her stay mentally fit. Here's hoping she gets a 3DS for birthday 101.

s for sure seen much. even the 50's and 60's seem like the stone age compared to today it would be hard to comprehend watching ww1 and everything that has went on since her birth. so much history good and bad.

People used to make fun of me because I played the computer a lot. Now they're all gone and I still have my wits. My doctor says I'm sharp as a tack.

It's not that you are playing games it is what type of games you play. If you play the right games you will be just fine. Keep it up.
