Built in just over two weeks at the cost of about $500,000, it looks just like a huge pinball machine -- except instead of using flippers to slap around a shiny silver ball, players become the ball themselves by whipping around its slopes and kickflipping off its bumpers on skateboards. Associated Press TOKYO - Sony Corp. is fully restoring its PlayStation Network in the U.S., Europe and parts of Asia on Thursday after hackers stole customer data and sent services offline in April.

The Tokyo-based company said in a statement that services are set to resume in the U.S., Europe and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong and South Korea.

Customers will also be able to download music again on their PlayStation3 consoles and PCs through Sony's Qriocity music service.

Sony shut down the network after a massive security breach that affected more than 100 million online accounts and embarrassed the tech giant.

The Sims 3: Generations [PC]

successful The Sims 3, and to celebrate, they're releasing the game's fourth expansion pack. Entitled Generations, this is the one where Patrick Stewart
goes back in time, has breakfast with Bill Shatner, and returns to find his crew crashed half the Enterprise into a planet. (Actually, that was a different Generations entirely, although at the rate The Sims 3 is adding new toys and features, it probably won't be too much longer before you really can use it to recreate your favorite Star Trek moments.)

E3 through the years

Even if you're just a casual fan of video games, the E3 video
game extravaganza is a truly exciting time of the year. It's Christmas in July!
Or, more often, May! Or, recently, June! Ok, so the moving dates ruin the
analogy, but it's a festive time nonetheless that always brings a flood of

Pokedex - Nintendo Early adopters of the Nintendo 3DS have been a pretty patient bunch. New games for the system haven't exactly been rushing to retail, and there's only so much you can do with that 3D camera. But relief is on the way.

Nintendo says the long-awaited 3DS eShop will launch June 6 -- and to celebrate, the company is letting owners of the handheld system download a copy of Excitebike 3D Classic for free, if they grab it within the first 30 days.

And while Pokemon fans may not have a game for the 3DS yet, the store will let them pick up a copy of Pokedex 3D, letting them see the critters from Pokemon Black and White in 3D with animated motion and sound. They'll also get an augmented-reality
