Classic party games like Trivial Pursuit, Taboo and Twister have enlivened countless millions of get-togethers over the years.

But how many more games of Pictionary can you really stand? There comes a point where you just need something new -- and thankfully, there's a whole host of lesser-known party games out there that'll give your next shindig a jolt of newfangled fun. Here are six of our favorites.

      Wits and WagersWits and Wagers

A classic Trivial Pursuit may be, but it's not the most forgiving of games. No matter what your general-knowledge weakness is, it'll find it, and lay it bare to the ridicule of your friends. But Wits and Wagers is a trivia game with a difference: if you don't know the answer

RPG Line - Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab Department stores are littered with perfumes and colognes that can make you smell like everything from a field of wildflowers to Beyoncé. But what's the best scent for the gaming geek?

Calvin Klein's 'Obsession' might be perfect for the die-hard fanboys, but if you're all about role-playing games, a better choice might be the RPG line of perfumes from Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab that lets you smell like an orc, elf, dwarf or other fantasy game standard.

Apparently, it's all about layering. Customers first select their race (orc, elf, dwarf, half-elf or halfling), and are then encouraged to pick a class (cleric, fighter, mage, paladin, ranger or rogue) and two alignments (Good? Evil? Chaotic?

PSP Go - Sony [Note: this is an update to an earlier article.]

The PSP Go is PSP Gone.

After a flurry of rumors Tuesday, Sony has confirmed that the PSP Go's life is coming to an end. The company plans to stop production of the handheld device that relies solely on downloadable content, opting instead to focus on the upcoming NGP - Next Generation Portable.

Sony Computer Entertainment, in a statement to the Japanese website AV Watch, confirmed whispers that it was ceasing production of the PSP Go. The company will continue to sell its remaining inventory, but once those are gone, the system will disappear. They've even slapped 'shipment ended' tags on PSP Go hardware at the official Sony Playstation

With the last Harry Potter film set to cast its final spell
on moviegoers this summer, it was only natural that EA would pull another
video game out of its hat.

The company revealed the somewhat long-winded Harry Potter
and the Deathly Hallows Part 2: The Videogame today in a cryptic trailer filled
with wizarding, flashbacks, evildoers, and Emma Watson. What did you expecto?

See? Cryptic. Set to release in July for most platforms, it's
being developed by EA Bright Light, the same team who crafted the action-oriented
game based on the first Deathly Hallows film. Unfortunately, that turned out to
be something of a disaster, so here's hoping they've learned a few new tricks
      since then.

      Most Controversial Games

Regardless of whether or not you believe that video games are a valid form of artistic expression, you can't argue with their ability to tick people off. Few games have done that as well as Mortal Kombat, and with an excellent new game hitting stores, we sadly expect another round of outrage.

But the gory fighter is hardly the only video game offender out there. Grab your picket sign and get ready to march as we look at some of gaming's most controversial titles.

      Mortal Kombat [X360, PS3]

Once, it was every parent's worst nightmare -- but these days its fans
are more likely to have kids of their own. Now in its nineteenth year, one of
the original video game nasties is back to terrorize the small screen: Mortal
Kombat, a revamped version of which releases this week on both Xbox 360 and
      PS3.

Once again, it's a time for Kombat. Unless you're in Australia,
that is, where the powers-that-be have deemed the new take on one of history's greatest fighters too violent and outright banned it. Killjoys. Still, for everyone else out there, Mortal Kombat looks to be a worthy successor to its
noble and fondly remembered predecessor, racking up scores into the 80s and beyond on both platforms.

Portal 2 - Valve Software It's not just still alive -- it's alive and kicking.

Cleverly written, boldly innovative and filled to the brim with some of the most brilliant gameplay ever put to ones and zeroes, the short but sweet first-person puzzle game Portal was an instant hit when it was released as part of The Orange Box compilation of Half-Life games in 2007.

While it never enjoyed the broad crossover success of blockbusters like Halo and Call of Duty, Portal introduced a deliciously duplicitous meme, topped countless Game of the Year lists, and set the stage for a serious coming out party in its sequel.

Thanks to a few ugly delays, that took a bit longer than expected. And now that Portal 2 has arrived for the
