Mass Effect 3 (Bioware/EA)Never underestimate the power of an outraged fan base.

Bowing to pressure from a loud segment of players, Bioware has announced that changes are in the works for the controversial ending to role-playing smash Mass Effect 3. Details about those plans will be revealed next month.

In a post on the company's blog, Bioware co-founder Dr. Ray Muzyka said the criticisms were "incredibly painful" to the team, which had hoped to please fans with the game.

Today's launch of Angry Birds Space isn't just the rollout of the fourth game in the wildly popular pig-smashing series. It's a multimedia event.

NASA is celebrating alongside Angry Birds creator Rovio. Wal-Mart is selling a bazillion bits of Angry Birds merchandise. MTV is using the game to help fight online bullying. And in Seattle, they're turning the Space Needle into a 300-foot tall slingshot. Seriously.

But all that sizzle means nothing without the steak. Is Angry Birds Space worth buying? Or is it just more of the same from a franchise that has, at this point, been emulated (or downright copied) by dozens of other app makers?

Bloomingdale's, Kinect for Windows, and Bodymetrics team up for body scans that will connect you with the best jeans for your individual shape.

The Bodymetrics PodIn your search for a great pair of jeans, you may end up becoming a pod person.

The Bodymetrics Pod, which launched in the United States during the Denim Days celebration at a Bloomingdale's in Los Angeles, uses Kinect for Windows to digitally ogle your curves and body-map your butt. This is all in the name of hooking you up with a pair of jeans that will flatter you rather than make it look like you crashed into a denim factory at 55 mph.

Move over, Mickey Mouse. There's an angry bird coming your way: The Finnish company of the hugely popular mobile phone game Angry Birds is looking to expand into Disney territory: themed parks and merchandise.

The addictive video game, which uses slingshots to fling multicolored birds at egg-stealing, evil pigs hiding in fortresses, would turn into branded playgrounds in Europe. The playgrounds, called Angry Birds Land,  will debut in Finland and then spread to Britain. The playlands will feature arcade galleries, natch, which would be attached to existing theme parks.

That tension has been a boon to countless spas and gyms in the past, but now it looks like the video game industry might be the latest beneficiary. A new survey from a leading Mommy blogger site finds that more and more moms are unwinding with a controller or iPad in their hands.

And the winner is...?Fantastic journeys through space and time were once solely the domain of TV and film, but in this day and age you're more likely to find the latest otherworldly epic on your favorite gaming console or PC instead.
