You know that trend where high-octane action games are promoted with thoughtful, slow-motion trailers set to the strains of emotional ballads?
It's on pause.
Activision and Treyarch just released the launch trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, which is filled with soldiers blasting each other with all sorts of near-future weapons as AC/DC's "Back in Black" blares in the background. It's nothing if not motivational:
The trailer shows off a variety of futuristic tech found in the game, which is set largely in the year 2025. Soldiers soar through the skies with winged backpacks, control tiny robotic spider drones, skulk around in fully cloaked camo suits, and even freefall like flying squirrels.
I'm not entirely sure why it's called a launch trailer, though, since the game doesn't come out until November 13 (November 18 on the Wii U).
