We're about month out from the release of Skylanders Giants, and Activision is doing a nice job getting us amped up to blow all our holiday cash on the game's collection of new toys. We've gotten the scoop on two new characters already -- Swarm and Chill -- but this latest Giant crushes them both.
Because that's just what he does.
Meet Crusher, the Earth Giant who thrives on pulverizing stuff -- including, we fear, our bank account. The official bio, straight from Activision:
Crusher knew from the moment he put on his father's mining helmet that his true passion in life was crushing rocks. He was fascinated with rock-lore and traveled all throughout Skylands in search of rare minerals to pulverize with his powerful hand-crafted rock hammer, which he also named Crusher. But along his travels, he discovered that the evil Arkeyan King was also searching for rocks — to melt down into weapons of war. Crusher's fury built up like an avalanche. After all, crushing was his job! So he put aside his life's passion and decided to use his hammer for a greater purpose - crushing Arkeyan Robots!
The big brute is one of eight Giants to be released in the new game, which will include 16 other new characters as well as re-released versions of the original 24 figures when it releases on October 21.
