Global warring: Modern Warfare 3 coming November 8, trailer released

Looks like the rumors were true: the best-selling shooter in the U.S. is going
on a world tour later this year.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, the next game in
Activision's record-setting first-person franchise, is set to blast into stores
on November 8th. To commemorate the news, Activision also released the game's
debut trailer, which shows off its new globetrotting style by letting gamers
play army men in at least four major cities, including New York, London, Paris
    and Berlin.

Ports are destroyed, subways are demolished, helicopters are piloted, buildings
are razed and bullets are shot. Lots and lots of 'em. See for yourself:

Flashy, disturbing stuff, and though we're not entirely sure
what's going on -- there's precious little story exposition here beyond a
creepy terrorist who sounds like a Jawa with a head cold -- it's obviously
pushing the big, setpiece moments that define the franchise's single-player experience.
Of course, most of you will skip all that and head straight to the multiplayer,
the details of which are still largely unknown.

Unless, that is, you believe the leaked info released by game blog Kotaku a few weeks back, which accurately called out Manhattan, London and Paris as key locations. The site also nailed the November 8th release date. Nice detective work, fellas.

Planning on getting Modern Warfare 3? Or got your mind on
Battlefield 3 instead? Sound off in the comments!
