(Credit: Sony)Our favorite game of E3 2012 was apparently everyone else's favorite, too.
Sony's cinematic action romp The Last of Us swept the official Game Critics E3 awards, taking home 5 honors: Best Of Show, Best Original Game, Best Console Game, Best Action/Adventure and a Special Commendation for Sound. It marks another stellar year for the game's developer, Naughty Dog, who took home three awards (including Best of Show) in 2009 for Uncharted 2.
Other big winners include Microsoft's Halo 4 (Best Action, Best Multiplayer) and Dance Central 3 (Best Social/Casual, Best Motion Simulation), 2K Games' XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Best Strategy, Best PC), and Square-Enix's Watch Dogs (Special Commendations for Graphics and Innovation). In total, Sony came out on top with seven wins. Microsoft took home four, while Nintendo only won one.
