After a surprisingly sluggish 2011 for the video game industry, all eyes are focused on a promising 2012.
GTA V (Rockstar Games)We posed that very question -- "What game are you looking forward to the most in 2012?" -- in our last Yahoo! Games reader poll, and the result was a runaway (driveaway?) winner in Grand Theft Auto V.
Rockstar's upcoming counter-culture gangster paradise took in a whopping 4879 votes, good for 30% of the 16,383 total votes cast. A distant second was Halo 4 with 3274 (20%), followed by Diablo III with 2616 (16%) and Mass Effect 3 with 2431 (15%).
Not exactly a shocking outcome, but with tons of anticipated games lining up for a crack at your wallet this year, it's a safe bet that there are still quite a few surprises in store for us in 2012. Still, it looks like most of you can't wait to return to Los Santos to see whatever the Rockstar team has in store for us this time.
