The D is for Double Fine Studios, the wildly creative team behind quirky hits like Costume Quest and Stacking. Their next project, however, takes kid-cool to a whole new level: it's Sesame Street: Once Upon a Monster for the Xbox 360 and Kinect. Published by Warner Bros. Interactive (there's the W), it's due out this fall.

Details are still a bit scarce, but based on the trailer, it seems that players will control famous monsters like Cookie Monster and Elmo while dancing, flying, partying and adventuring through a monster paradise. And did you catch that Grover cameo? He looks like he plays a mean flower guitar. Awesome.
