What's more, the game features new cutscene-creation tools, and a fully-functional musical sequencer that will allow truly ambitious users to compose elaborate soundtracks. The first of this lineup to be released on North American shores, LBP2 is available now, having hit stores on January 18th.

A combination rhythm game and art game, Beat Sketcher encourages players to draw shapes with the Move — either in timed challenges corresponding to certain musical beats, or in a free-art mode that allows players to scribble to their heart's content. A low-key game meant to foster gentle creative expression, Beat Sketcher is surprisingly robust as an art program — get the hang of it and you can create some very pretty pictures, all of which can be shared with friends over the Playstation Network. Best of all, Beat Sketcher can already be downloaded on PSN.
