World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria, the fourth official World of Warcraft expansion, will be available for purchase both digitally and at retail for PC and Mac on September 25th, Blizzard announced Wednesday.
The game introduces a new region, Pandaria, populated by the Pandarens, a new playable race of chubby, panda-like warriors. Players will also have access to a new Monk class and will be able to level up their characters to 90, the new cap. Other new features include challenge modes and a Pet Battle system.

"Mists of Pandaria contains the biggest variety of new content we've ever created for a World of Warcraft expansion, with features that will appeal to new players, veterans, and everyone in between," said Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime.
Blizzard's going all out with Mists of Pandaria by releasing it in a variety of flavors. The standard game costs $39.99, but those looking for a few extras can opt for the Digital Deluxe version, which includes an exclusive mount, an exclusive pet, and a few other perks. But the real Warcraft aficionados will want the Collector's Edition (only available at retail), which runs $79.99 and includes the Digital Deluxe goodies plus behind-the-scenes material, a soundtrack, a fancy Mists of Pandaria art book and a special mouse pad.
Now in its eighth year online, the game could use a boost. Warcraft subscriptions were at roughly 10 million in March, down from 12 million a year ago. The last Warcraft expansion, 2010's Cataclysm, was a massive hit, selling over 4.7 million copies in its first month of availability.
