Unplugged

Sit down before watching this wild chair illusion

"Anamorphosis" is the technique of distorting an image so that it only looks 'correct' when viewed from a certain perspective.  In a still image, it's intriguing enough, but it takes on a new life when viewed as a video.

Video illusionist 'Brusspup' has done just that, using a moving camera perspective to seamlessly transition between the illusion of a 'normal' chair and the distorted reality.  Intrigued?  Watch the video in action:

Curious about how it was done?  Brusspup thoughtfully provides a 'Behind the Scenes' video to explain it:

I believe that M.C.Escher was an artist that produced a third dimension to two dimensional art work in black and white and shades of gray. It is second to none and a lot of fun.

Escher work is fascinating. I bet that very few here have any idea as to who Escher was, LOL. Don’t despair, there are still a few of us LOL.

Oh yeah, I know Escher's work. I'd say it's a safe bet that every nerd in middle school knows his work! :-)

Cool but it's a chair that does not look very comfortable.
What about doing this with a kitty...then I'd be amazed.
