The Full Report: I love mystery and crime solving games the only problem with all of them is you eventually run out of cases to solve and it's no fun to solve then more than once.

The Full Report: Great game! Find your way around various rooms without stepping on traps. It's tougher than it sounds!

The Full Report: Well I thought the game was so-so I didn't think is was fun. I played the first game and I loved it but this one wasn't the greatest game. If I had to pick one it would be the first game with flying colors and I mean that. If you don't agree with me fine do whatever but I'm not going to be playing it very often I'll tell to that.

Hits: it's really cool that you actually have to solve the mystery--just like a detective!

Misses: Trap thing is kinda repetitive.

The Full Report: Overall, it's a great game. You have to collect clues and actually work your brain to solve the mystery. I liked that it isn't just the game that you disarm the boobytrap and the computer does everything else. For this, you have to disarm the traps like mini-games, but you also have to find out who the murderer is and how he/she murdered people. So, you must have a full version. i think it's worth it.

Misses: The 'story' distracts from the game

The Full Report: Frankly, the web-based version of the game is better than the 'luxury' downloadable version.
The downloadable one pretends to be an adventure game, but frankly, the personae of the game are tedious; and the game-play suffers from the need to make it possible to finish the game.
Consider: on the Web based version, you get three 'missed!' chances where you say 'There is a trap on this square!' and it turns out you're wrong; and also, three lives (where you tread on a trap, but only die temporarily!).
When you run out, that's it; the game is over. Start again, and beat your personal best; be more careful, don't let Inspector Parker walk carelessly across the room but make him go around suspect patches, and think before clicking! A good game.
But on the luxury download, well... if you had only three chances, you'd never get out of the west wing. So you have five chances per room; and the next room, you have five chances again. And frankly, it takes the stress out of a game, knowing that you can get away with that many errors.
On the Web version, I've never got more than 65,000 points. That would prevent me from ever having a chance to 'solve the crime' in the download version. But it's a genuine challenge to get a higher score!
Finally, I have to say, the 'detective story' is pathetic, boring, and obviously meant to be funny.
It isn't. It's just a waste of time.
