The Swiss Franc is still the unit of currency in Switzerland. Not only do they not use the Euro, they are not members of the European Union.

Perhaps using "A type of Swiss bread" as the clue would have been more appropriate, since other "types" are Schweizer Franken (German); franco svizzero (Italian); and franc svizzer in Romansh. (And, the proper name in French is franc suisse.)

windows 8. oh god, you even thinking? it's a flash game.

A tret is not a an allowance made for the weight of the package, that's a tare. A tret is an allowance of extra weight for waste during shipping, which is made after the tare deduction.

One of the few crosswords in ages that does not promote "OREO." Do the composers (or, heaven forbid, the publishers!) get a kickback from Nabisco whenever the foul word appears?

Find puzzles fairly easy, but still fun (8:21 today). No prob with Windows8. BTW, Asia (or ASIA) is a rock group from the 80s. And, yes AJA is an album (probably the best) from Steely Dan.

It took me 16 mins today to finish daily crossword today on my new Windows 8 laptop. It takes me 9 to 12 minutes on my old windows XP laptop. On my IMAC about 12 -13 minutes. Has anyone else having these issues on windows 8. It freezes most time and when it resets, the clock jumps, and a lot of times, the clock keeps running but board is frozen. Is it my computers problem or flash/shockwave issues?
