Hits: fun & addictive play, teaches you poker hands, beautiful graphics, learn about different places around the world
Misses: None
The Full Report: very interesting game idea... there aren't any other games i know of that have you play poker in this way. even if you have no idea how to play poker you should still give the game a try because it teaches you how to make the hands as you go along. it definitely gets a lot more fun after the first world, when they add some more dangerous cards and powerups. for some reason i love the ripping paper sound after you make a hand and part of the plane ticket gets torn off, i just want to keep making that noise happen :) fun to finally get the postcards underneath too, you get to learn something about each city you visit.0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

Fast to learn, but may also wear thin quickly.

Hits: No time constraints, self-challenging to strategize better scoring
Misses: Might get boring soon, not extremely challenging
The Full Report: This easy-to-learn game is great for all ages, and is untimed for leisurely, relaxing play. Uses known concepts from classic games like mah jong, solitare and poker. Pretty graphics and soothing music are nice, but not exceptional. A low-key game for spending a little while with when you're not feeling overly competitive.1 of 1 people found this review helpful-

Hits: Simple to learn, stays fun
Misses: board stays the same size
The Full Report: Poker Pop is like Bookworm + Yahtzee. The power-ups add a nice element and make it super fun.19 of 23 people found this review helpful-
"Out with a Pop, not a whimper..."

Hits: Multiple game modes, stress or no stress - your choice, borrows concepts from better games
Misses: There are just better games out there
The Full Report: I think this is a fairly unique concept that borrows nicely from titles such as Bookword and Solitaire. There isn't much time pressure, which will be nice for some - there's ample opportunity to strategize about your next move. Overall, however, the game is average - it looks and sounds in the middle of pack of other casual games. Since there's such little "zing," I couldn't see myself playing this for long after learning the rules. Poker Pop is like a plain turkey sandwich - it's nothing to sneeze at, it's pretty unoffensive, but it's hard to get excited about it. If you like Bookworm and cards, certainly try it...but I bet you'll be playing something else soon. In fact, I'd go "all in" on that bet.37 of 52 people found this review helpful
