Start off with no 2's and 2 A's in the circle more often than not. And no matter what 'strategy' you use of putting which numbers into which pile, it does no good if you have to draw 25 cards before you get your first 2, because now the 3 you need for that suit is buried under 7 other 3's 4's 5's
It would be better if the circle started off empty so you wouldn't be stuck with cards there you can't use until the very end
But an interesting and challenging setup0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

At first I couldn't win at all, now I win most of the time. I make piles of 2-5; 6-10 ;9-7; and second 6-A; once I have most of the first 2-6, I do second pile of 10 - Q and maybe 6s. I win most of the time without shuffling.0 of 0 people found this review helpful-

I usually pick one pile with "second time around" A-6 cards, those that won't get used till the final six cards to play. I don't mind having a huge pile of them, because by the time you get to them, you can spread them around the circle to have access to them.
At first, though, I try to get those A-6 cards at the bottom of as many piles as I can, as they'll sit there for a long time. Don't let huge numbers of spots in the circle stay open, but don't fill them all -- leave at least 1-2 open for flexibility.0 of 0 people found this review helpful-
Tips

This game is fun once you "get it".
Spoiler/tips: use the first discard pile for A-3, 2nd for 4-6, 3rd for 7-9, 4th for 10-Q
Also when you shuffle you rearrange the order of each cards within the pile, cards never change piles (ie card that was in pile 1 will never end up in pile 3 after shuffle).0 of 0 people found this review helpful-
The bottom line is any game that is challenging is fun.
