Sample Scoresheet
score Here's a sample scoresheet for a completed rubber. The team on the left, North Player/South Player, earned part-scores of 30 and 20 below the line plus 200 penalty points above the line. The other partnership won two games--the first with a score of 120 below the line, and then with a score of 100 points, entered below the previous score. Since East Player/West Player won the rubber two games to none, their rubber bonus was 700 points, which appears above some other premium points earned during the game. (East/West were marked "Vulnerable" after winning the first game.)

Note: In a club game or tournament, the form of bridge played is usually duplicate or team of four instead of rubber bridge. In duplicate bridge, many partnerships play the same deals and earn points according to how many other pairs did better or worse with the same cards; in team of four, teams play a deal twice, with one team playing the North-South hands at one table and the East-West hands at another table; results are compared on a sliding scale known as IMPs (international match points). The different forms of bridge are really just differences in scoring methods; the play of the game is unchanged, though the strategy can be quite different.
