In a four-player game, players form two partnerships. Partners sit across from one another. Five cards are dealt to each player. Each player discards one card into the crib. Play and scoring are exactly as in the two-player game, except that in the pegging phase, when one player says go, the other three players continue to play if they can. The last side able to play scores the point for the go, and the next card is led by the player who originally called the go. In scoring a hand, both of the opponents of the dealer's side count first, followed dealer and nondealer.
