Three- and four-player games are played cutthroat; in five-player games, declarer (picker) has a partner. Cards are automatically shuffled, dealt, and arranged by suit for the players. Bids are entered in a window, and players choose what cards to play by clicking on them. Players may review the previous trick or hand at any time by clicking the appropriate button. Scoring is done automatically--there's nothing to remember or figure out.
In creating a sheepshead table at Yahoo!, a player may choose a three-, four-, or five-player game; whether leasters or doublers will be played if no one takes the blind; and whether, in a five-player game, the declarer chooses a partner by calling a suit or whether the partner is whichever player holds the jack of diamonds.
