Scoring
Scoring points is the object of the game. In order to score points, you have to spell out words hidden in the grid that other players have not already found.
The following table shows the scoring breakdown for words in Word Racer.

4 20

5 40

6 70

7 110

8+ 150 +40 points per each extra letter

With a blue N, the word Sang would be worth 80 points.

If the word is over 7 letters long, 40 points are added per extra letter in the word. Also watch out for opportunities to get bonus points. In the second, third and fourth rounds certain letters in the grid will be colored. If a letter in the grid is blue, any word you spell using that letter will be worth double the normal value. If a letter is red, any word you spell using a red letter will be tripled. If you use more than one colored letter in a word you will get both bonuses!
If you create a table, you will notice you have an option for strict scoring and fast pace games. If you turn on strict scoring any word you spell that is not in the grid will decrease your score by five points per word. If fast pace is on the time between rounds will be less.
