The first wordfind puzzle was originally designed and published by Norman E. Gibat in the Selenby Digest, a classifieds publication, on March 1, 1968 in Norman, Oklahoma.
The puzzle was immediately popular, so Gibat created several more. Local teachers asked for reprints to use in their classrooms and one sent copies to various educator-friends at other schools across the country. National syndication soon followed. |
