Basics
There are various types of games that are played with dominoes. The version most commonly played on Yahoo! Games, and explained in these rules, is usually referred to as Five-Up, Muggins, or All Fives. This version is a two-player or four-player tile game where players place bones (dominoes) with matching ends in a cross-like pattern. The object is to form chains of dominoes. The player scores points when the ends add up to some multiple of five (5, 10, 15, 20, etc.). Once a player or team reaches a total of 50, 100, 250, or 500, depending on the total set by the host of the table, that player wins the game.
Yahoo! Games also offers two variants of the standard Five-Up game. These include Best of Ten Hands and No Spinner. These change the gameplay and scoring slightly. Rules and for these games can be found under the variant tag.
