You can achieve the same effect after the photo is taken by using a tilt shift

The effect can be achieved by shooting with a tilt-shift lens on your camera or by editing in software such as Photoshop, Gimp, etc.

Im surprised by how the trees look so fake. They look too straight and uniform just like modeling trees.

The DHL truck looks most toy-like to me; and the trees kind of look false.

That is Cincinnati, Ohio, in Downtown, fyi. I have walked down that sidewalk. That's the entrance to a Macy's, and if you see that Aqua-colored awning to the left, that's a Tiffany jewelry store. The dark blue awning close to the DHL truck is a Brooks Brothers store.

Its not the camera that that creates these illusions its the tilt shift lens very cool im my opinion and yes we all could be spared the stupid comments made by some......

If you don't have a tilt-shift lens and a camera that can use it, the effect can be achieved in editing software. Do a search for tilt-shift and you will find tutorials on the subject. It's fun and really isn't too difficult as long as you have a photo that lends itself to the technique, and the patience to carefully create a graduated blur around the focal plane.
