    It would have been helpful to show an unaltered photo of the same scene.Without this they are just leaving me to take them at their word. Still look like models to me, so what could have been a really interesting article became a dud.

    While this can be achieved somewhat thru shift lens use, its also a setting built into most of Sony's new apsc digital cameras.

    I wouldn't call it an optical illusion. There is actually alteration of the photos. Most optical illusions are confusing lines. This is just kind of a cheap trick I think. And you're not actually seeing something different. This isn't like the tricks that actually fool your mind into seeing something that isn't there, they just messed with a picture...
