The finale of the Mass Effect trilogy brought an end to one of the most epic stories ever told in video games, and did it beautifully. Dark and bleak but brimming with life, the tale of Commander Shepard's last stand against the Reapers was smartly told and wonderfully designed (even if the ending was a point of contention).
