Gorgeous!

"Good Morning America" correspondent Amy Robach has been chronicling her battle with breast cancer, and on Wednesday, she debuted a new look on the ABC morning show, and explained the empowering reason behind her haircut.

"I decided I was going to take control of one thing away from the cancer, so I got my haircut," the 40-year-old television personality said.

Amy — who was diagnosed with cancer last October — began chemo a month ago, and has done two rounds with six more to go.

"One of my first questions admittedly was: Will I lose my hair?" Amy writes in a blog post. "It sounds shallow I know, but it was a very scary image to me.  Having cancer is one thing, LOOKING like you have cancer is another thing. It’s a disease that already takes so much."

After the second round of chemo, Amy noticed she was losing her locks.

"Waiting and watching my hair fall out made me once again feel so powerless and so I decided to take control," Amy continues.

After receiving tons of messages from other women in the same position, she rounded up a video crew to record the cut.

"I wanted other women to know they are not alone," she writes. "I wanted my sisters to know that being brave is the only way to live with cancer … and today I feel powerful."
