If you're one of the many players of Angry Birds Friends, the socially-inclined latest chapter in the hit series, this week's Level Three might have thrown you for a loop.

There's no elaborately challenging layer of obstacles. The pigs are ridiculously easy to hit. And written across the screen are the words "Marry Me Mel - Ben."

It's not a joke by the Bad Piggies at Rovio. It's a real request from Australian Ben Levi, and it's one his girlfriend Melissa Swift quickly said yes to -- once her shock subsided.

"I remember looking at it and not really comprehending what it meant," she says. "He was down on one knee and it just all fell into place and I just started crying. ... It was just unbelievable."

Levi's a die-hard fan of the Angry Birds games, and when he decided to pop the question, he sent a note to the developers in Finland. To his surprise, they wrote back and said they'd love to help.

The level perches the birds atop a huge heart-shaped structure. One very easy-to-hit pig is nearby, sitting atop the proposal, while six more sit further away on an Australian-shaped structure. Once the pig is hit, the proposal explodes into a shower of bouncing balls, which take care of the other pigs.

Levi not only carefully planned out the way he would propose, he was forward-thinking enough to put hidden cameras around the restaurant to film Mel's reaction. You can watch the drama unfold below:

Truth be told, Mel was never as big an Angry Birds fan as her now-fiancé. In fact, his devotion to it (whether at a fancy dinner or as they watched TV together) made her a bit ... well, angry, before all of this. (So did the fact that they'd dated for nine years without a proposal.)

But these days, she's a lot more understanding.

"It took Angry Birds to finally get him to propose," she said. "I love them. Nothing else would motivate him, but Angry Birds did it, so I'm forever grateful."
