Sorry, New York Giants fans: Big Blue isn't going to make it to Super Bowl XLVII. Heck, they won't even make it to the playoffs.

That's the prediction, at least, of the latest incarnation of EA's venerable Madden football franchise.

Pre-season predictions are an annual ritual for the Madden series. And with the first game of the regular season kicking off next Wednesday, the game makers are focusing on the division fight.

According to the game, the New England Patriots will top the AFC with a 12-4 record, while the Chicago Bears will rule the NFC with the same win-loss ratio, though the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens will be nipping at their heels.

Other AFC contenders, predicts the game, will be the long-suffering Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. The Chiefs will not only win the AFC West by going 11-5, but Romeo Crennel will also take home Coach of the Year honors.

Over in the NFC, the Bears, Packers and Ravens will be chased by the 49ers and Falcons, who both could have 11-5 seasons.

But who's the best player? No shocker here: Madden 13 claims it will be perennial Patriots poster boy Tom Brady, who will win the league's MVP award by throwing 50 touchdowns and 5,374 yards. Slightly more shocking is top pick Andrew Luck outgunning Robert Griffin III to win the Rookie of the Year award.

Before you rush off to your bookie based on the game's predictions, it might be wise to do a little historical research. Last year's regular season predictions by Madden only picked three of the eight division winners and inaccurately predicted Michael Vick would earn the MVP bragging rights, which instead went to Aaron Rodgers.

It did have a little better luck with the Super Bowl, though. On the eve of the big game, Madden confidently said the New York Giants would defeat the New England Patriots 27-24 -- only two TDs away from the 21-17 real-world score.

Madden NFL 13 comes out Tuesday.
