The Angry Birds juggernaut is spinning off another property.

Rovio has unveiled Angry Birds Stella, a multimedia project that centers around the pink, female bird made famous by the original series. It will also introduce a new band of companions to keep her company.

The series won't be limited to the game world, either. Stella will also dip her claws in cartoons, toys and books.

"Angry Birds Stella will open a door to a part of the Angry Birds universe you've never seen before," the company wrote in a blog post. "There will be plenty of fun and adventure, but the bunch of passionate pals will also have to deal with some serious issues in order to protect their friendship and the environment they live in. Luckily, Stella and her friends are good at finding creative solutions!"

Details on the new property -- including specific products and licensing partners -- will be announced at a later date.

The new series promises to maintain the spirit of the Angry Birds franchise, but instead of being solely focused on the destruction of pigs, it plans to focus on messages of "inspiration, empowerment and other real issues."

The first adventures are due this fall.

Stella is just the latest in a series of Angry Birds spinoffs. The app sensation has given birth to other games, including Bad Piggies, Angry Birds: Star Wars and a seemingly limitless supply of toys. It has also spawned credit cards, a themed children's playground, a line of Converse sneakers and a Formula One racing helmet.

And let's not forget the Angry Birds feature film, currently due in 2016. John Cohen, the producer of Despicable Me, will produce that project.
