Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

It's been nearly five years since The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion captivated
millions of gamers with its huge fantasy world, vast selection of
quests, and open-ended exploration -- and although the game was a
massive hit, publisher Bethesda has kept mum about another instalment in the series.

Until now, apparently. Credit Eurogamer Denmark for nailing the scoop, courtesy of an anonymous, loose-lipped source.

Eurogamer's mole "not only confirmed that the game is in current production," reads
a translation posted on the primary English-language Eurogamer site,
"but also spoke briefly about the content - with fantasy-sounding
phrases like Dragon Lord, something with The Blades - and that voice
acting for the characters in the game is currently happening in the
weeks to follow."

"The same source confirmed, with official game documents in hand, that this
will be the chronological sequel to what happened in The Elder Scrolls
IV: Oblivion, which is the latest game in the now 16-years-old Elder
Scrolls saga and by itself one of the better RPGs for PC and consoles."

If true, it would explain what happened to the team behind Fallout 3 --
and notably its lead designer, Emil Pagliarulo. Before Fallout 3,
Pagliarulo worked on Oblivion, and was responsible for the awesome,
haunting Dark Brotherhood line of quests, among others. Since Fallout,
he's been mysteriously quiet. A new Elder Scrolls game would be the
perfect place for his talents.
