Sega’s ‘Toylet’ turns urinals into game machines

Gee whiz! A device from Sega gives a whole new meaning to the term 'streaming content.' But at an asking price of almost $1,800, you'll have to be pretty flush to afford one.

Ok, got that out of our system. Honest.

Sega's 'Toylet', a urinal-mounted game which is activated and controlled by -- you guessed it -- urination, has graduated from a Tokyo-based pilot program initiated last winter to a general market release.

The device consists of a sensor that measures volume and pressure of the urine stream and an eye-level screen display. Users test their, err, accuracy, in one of several colorful mini-games; the coolest appears to be "Battle! Milk From Nose," which might be described as a nose-blowing variant of Mortal Kombat:

Sega claims the Toylet not only encourages customers at public establishments to stick around longer and spend more money, but will keep bathrooms cleaner, too. Our guess is the highest scores will be racked up in bars at around 3 A.M.
