The biggest game of 2013 is only a few months away, but Grand Theft Auto V is still something of a mystery. That’s par for the course; Rockstar Games typically doles out information at a drip so slow it would make a hamster crazy.

But that all changed Tuesday, courtesy of this terrific new GTA V trailer, which, for the first time in the history of the franchise, shows off actual pre-release gameplay footage. It’s even got a fancy narrator!

Warning: Mature language (it’s a Grand Theft Auto game, you know)

We’ve already met the game’s three protagonists in previous trailers, but here we get to see how players switch between them on the fly. You’re not just shooting things -- you’ll also customize cars and clothing, fly planes, play golf, go snorkeling, hunt animals, pull heists, jump off cliffs, race bikes, invest in stocks, surf the fake internet and about a billion other things. The trailer even gives a glimpse into multiplayer. This seriously looks like the largest game ever created.

GTA V releases September 17 for the Xbox 360 and PS3. Might want to plan to catch a week-long cold around then.
